The firm on the policyholder's side of the table

When your home or building takes storm damage, your carrier sends its own adjuster. That adjuster represents the carrier. Policyholder Advocacy Group represents the policyholder, and nobody else. Nathan Sheppard founded this firm in January 2012 for one job: stand on your side of the claim, document the full loss, and get you the maximum amount owed under the terms and conditions of your policy.

17 years working insurance claims

Policyholder Advocacy Group founded in January 2012

Nearly 8,500 Hurricane Isaias claims have closed without a payment

17 years in claims, one side the whole time

The 17 years belong to Nathan, not to the firm. He has worked insurance claims for 17 years. He spent that career learning how claims get built, priced, and paid. In January 2012 he put that experience to work for policyholders only and founded Policyholder Advocacy Group. He has never worked for an insurance company, and this firm takes no carrier work. Every claim this firm has ever handled was handled for the person who paid the premium.

Why a policyholder advocate

Nathan is a policyholder advocate, full stop. The proof of why that matters is on paper. A Florida state study, OPPAGA Report 10-06, found that policyholders with a public adjuster received 747% higher payments on certain 2005 hurricane claims than policyholders who carried the claim alone. After Hurricane Isaias, nearly 8,500 claims closed without a payment in the first weeks, against just over 3,500 closed with one. Those numbers are why an advocate exists. The carrier has a professional on its side of your claim from day one. You should have one on yours.

What you get when you call

We start with a Free 21-Point Storm Inspection at your property. We show you the damage, including damage a first visit missed. Then we document the full loss, price it, and present the claim to your carrier. We meet their adjuster at your property. You get one claim file and one point of contact, and a full accounting when the claim closes.

On cost: for residential claims, Florida caps the fee at 10% during the first year after a state of emergency declaration. And 10% of nothing is nothing. Commercial claims are not under that cap. Our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you. If we recover nothing, you pay nothing.
