Insurance companies have lobbyists. Policyholders have stories. This page is where yours goes on the record.
Hurricane Isaias hit the Florida Panhandle on October 9. Since then we have heard the same story in different houses. The adjuster came. The wait started. The first number came in low, or the denial came, or the check did not cover the roof.
Lawmakers and regulators do not move on statistics. They move when real people describe what happened to them. Record your story below. It takes a few minutes, and your voice carries further than you think.
Before you record, have three answers ready:
- What did your insurance company offer you?
- How many days passed after you filed your claim?
- What is still broken or still not paid for today?

How it works
- Press record and tell your story in your own words. Two to five minutes is plenty.
- Add your name and phone number if you are willing to be contacted. You choose.
- Your recording comes to Policyholder Advocacy Group. We review every one.
What happens to your story
- With your permission, we share recordings with Voices of Policyholders, the national effort collecting policyholder stories for lawmakers, regulators, and the media.
- With your permission, we may quote your story on this site and in our advocacy work. Names can be withheld. You decide on the form below before you send.
- Recording a story is not hiring us, and it does not start a claim. If you also want a free inspection of your damage, that door is separate, right below.
By sending this recording, you give Policyholder Advocacy Group permission to listen to it and contact you about it. Sharing it beyond that, with Voices of Policyholders, lawmakers, regulators, media, or on this website, happens only with the permission you select. You can choose: share with my name, share without my name, or keep it between us.
